How the calculation works
Enter each component as a cost for one pizza. Keep the dough ball size tied to the pizza size you actually sell. A box belongs in a takeaway cost even if it is absent from dine-in food cost.
Formula: Dough + sauce + cheese + toppings + box.
Worked example
The starting inputs are illustrative assumptions: Dough ball ($): 0.65; Sauce portion ($): 0.25; Cheese portion ($): 1.1; Other toppings ($): 0.8; Box ($): 0.35. They produce 3.15$. These inputs are editable and are not market prices or industry benchmarks.
Use the result
Build dough and sauce as sub-recipes in the app to track ingredient changes. Add delivery-platform fees separately when evaluating channel contribution.
Keep the period, unit and currency consistent across the inputs. A calculator cannot identify a missing cost from the figures you provide. Retain an invoice or stock-count record for the inputs, and use the result as a check on your operating decision.
