What the free product includes

The ledger saves ingredients and recipes in this browser. You can record a purchase pack, price, yield and recipe quantity, then follow that cost through a batch to a served portion. Shared sub-recipes keep the relationship between a sauce and the plates that use it. Menu-price scenarios show the effect of your chosen food-cost target.

Menu engineering uses the sales counts you enter for a category. Price impact lets you review an ingredient change before applying it. Exports give you a copy of the ledger, while printing creates a recipe card or costed menu through the browser's print dialog.

Invoice reading has a separate boundary

The optional reader sends your chosen invoice image to an AI provider after consent. You must review extracted items before they change ingredient prices. Images must be under 4 MB. The service allows 5 reads per IP address per UTC day and 150 across the service each day, shared with optional recipe reading. These are enforced product limits, not a claim about model accuracy. If reading is unavailable, enter your purchase details manually.

Bring in a recipe

Paste measured ingredient lines for local parsing, or choose to send a recipe photo or unclear text to the optional reader after consent. Match each line to your ledger and confirm the quantities, units and preparation notes before saving. The reader does not invent purchase prices or fill missing ingredients.

Keep a backup

Local storage belongs to this browser and device. It is not cloud backup. Export your ledger after important changes and before clearing browser data. The current product does not synchronize between devices or provide an account from which a lost local ledger can be restored.
