Product questions

Write to contact@costedplate.com. Include the page you were using and what you expected to happen. If the issue is in the app, name the workspace tab and the action that caused it. A short example is usually more useful than a large file containing your whole operation.

We do not publish a guaranteed response time. This is a small independent product team, and this address is for product correspondence rather than an emergency service. The public site does not offer telephone support or claim an office location.

Calculation reports

A useful calculation report identifies the purchase quantity, purchase unit, purchase price, yield, recipe quantity and recipe unit. Explain whether the recipe quantity refers to raw purchased material, trimmed edible material or cooked output. That distinction often explains a result that initially looks wrong.

If you can reproduce an issue using invented ingredient names and example prices, send that smaller version. Remove supplier account numbers, delivery addresses and other confidential information from screenshots. You control what you share by email; sending a message is separate from local browser storage in the app.

Data and comparison corrections

For an ingredient or research page, include its URL, the claim you believe needs changing and a link to the primary source. Tell us if the source describes a different geography, date, preparation or accounting definition. We prefer a direct agency, publisher or vendor page over a secondary summary.

For a software comparison, point to the vendor's current product or pricing page and identify the changed feature. Published comparisons include a checked date because products change. A price available under a private contract is not necessarily a public price that can be generalized to other customers.

Protect your working ledger

Export a JSON backup before testing a workflow that could replace your data. The app's import preview asks for confirmation before replacing a ledger, but clearing browser storage outside the app can still remove it. We cannot retrieve a local ledger from our servers because the recipe database is not uploaded there.
